St Patrick’s is Sporty

Radius Housing, as part of its community relations plan for St Patrick’s Shared Housing, supported St Colmcille’s and St Brigid’s Primary schools to link in with the All Saints GAA club to ‘have a go’ at their ‘Have a Go’ event for a bit of craic and to foster good relations.

Here’s what Deirdre O’Loan, Volunteer at All Saints GAA, had to say about the experiences and purpose of the project:

Both schools have a diverse body of pupils from seventeen nationalities who may not have previously experienced GAA sports.

Pupils found the event exciting and engaging. Every pupil received a small gift, including GAA footballs, hurling/camogie balls or sticks after the session concluded.

One pupil said, “I’ve never played hurling before, but now that I’ve ‘had a go’, I’m going to ‘give it a go’ moving forward!”

We have no doubt that St Patrick’s Shared Housing is the right fit for Ballymena and the right fit for you – and through initiatives like this, we will make sure to keep you and your kids fit as you make this your new home!
